In 1997 Responshuset AS was founded by Unn Irene Kjenslie, Carl Jørgen Seljestad, Aasmund Brevik and Rikard Storvestre. Their vision was to be a customer service, warehousing, packaging and distribution partner for the companies in Skagerak Gruppen AS. Like many other start-ups, Responshuset AS started small. In our case, in a one bedroom spsrtment in Keysersgate central Oslo.
The following year, Kjellrun Waagbø was hired as general manager. We grew out of the apartment and into new and modern premises in Holmlia. After a few years, Kjellrun took over the company and ran it together with her partner, Kjell Hesthammer. A tragic accident occurred in August 2006, in which both Kjellrun and Kjell died.
Some of Responshuset’s largest customers contacted Unn Irene and “demanded” her return to take over the company. After working on other projects for five years, Unn Irene was back where it all started in 2006. The company continued to grow, and in 2007 we had to move to more suitable premises in Rosenholmveien 4B.
The company continued its growth journey and the customers flooded in - now also with customers outside Norway’s borders. When some Italians called us up and asked for “Responshouse ass”, it was concluded that the time was ready for a name change. Responshuset thus became Wepack in 2013.
In September 2019, Ingvild came back home to Norway after almost eight years in Kenya. She is the daughter of Unn Irene and went straight into training to take over the chief’s chair. In April 2021, Unn Irene transferred to the sales department and Ingvild became managing director.
Wepack has always had, and still have, a very good reputation in the industry. We are known to be the very best in warehousing, logistics and packaging in the Nordics, and for delivering top quality and service. We are proud of our profession and our services and we work continuously to maintain the high standard our customers deserve.
As of August 2022, we have around 2,500 m2 of storage and production, and 20 employees. We have great ambitions for growth without this going beyond our good service and high quality.
