Privacy Policy

The privacy policy describes which/what personal data we collect when visiting our websites, using our products and services and how we process these. When you visit our websites, we also automatically store information about browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time, clickstream data and other user information as part of our service analysis. This data is not linked to other information we collect about you and is anonymous.

We also use cookies on our websites for marketing purposes, so that the visitor statistics are reliable and to increase the functionality of our pages.

Use of contact forms on WEPACK.NO

WEPACK.NO has several forms. Personal information submitted in forms will only be used for the basis of processing that appears in the form. For example: Contact form data will only be used to contact the customer about a request entered in the form.

Subcontractors

We work with Postnord, Posten, DHL, Bring, Budpartner, Helthjem and Hurtiggutta for transportation and distribution of goods. We provide the personal information necessary for them to be able to deliver the goods to you, i.e. name, street address, e-mail, mobile number and place of delivery.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer when you download a website. We treat information collected by cookies and other technology as non-personal information. To the extent that IP addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information under legislation, we also treat these identifications as personal information. Likewise, to the extent that personal information is not combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information in connection with this privacy policy. The website uses the following cookies:

Name: _utma. Lifetime: automatically deleted after two years. This cookie from Google is used to monitor traffic on our website and track each visitor’s number of visits, time of first visit, previous visits and current visits.

Name: _utmc. Lifetime: automatically deleted when the browser’s session ends. This cookie from Google is used to track the behavior of the user and measure the website’s performance.

Name: _utmz. Lifetime: automatically deleted after 180 days. This cookie from Google is used to monitor traffic on our website and track where the visitor comes from (search engine, search term, link).

Name: _fbp. Lifetime: Deleted automatically after 3 months. This cookie from Facebook is used to be able to provide you with advertisements from WEPACK following your visit to the website.

Marketing, analytics and customer contract

Piwik (POLEN)

We use Piwik PRO Analytics Suite for website/app analytics- and consent management tool. We collect first-party data about website visitors based on cookies, IP and fingerprinting. This information can contain the visitors IP-address, operating system, web browser ID, activity and other information.

We calculate metrics related to website usage such as bounce rate, depth of visits, page views to understand how our website is being used. We can also create profiles on visitors to show personalised content and online camains.

Piwik host their solution on Microsoft Azure in Germany. The data is stored for a period of 25 months. (Purpose of processing data: Analytics, Conversion tracking based on consent, Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).

Piwik does not share data about you with any other data processors or 3rd parties, nor does it use this information for its own use. Read more in Piwik PRO’s privacy policy.

System and information security

Intility (NORWAY)

Intility runs our e-mail accounts and supplies us with domain names. Personal information that is processed using their services is stored on servers in Norway, which are owned and operated by Intility.

Netlify (VeraSafe, IRELAND)

Netlify operates Wepack’s website. They can collect information such as IP address, name, email address and telephone number. You can find more information here https://www.netlify.com/gdpr-ccpa/

Financial data

Tripletex (NORWAY)

Tripletex is our supplier of invoicing software. All personal data related to invoicing is collected as a necessary part of the customer relationship and is stored in Norway and meets GDPR requirements.

Subcontractors outside the EU

DocuSign (USA)

We use DocuSign for signing customer agreements. Registered information here is name, email address, IP address, date and time of signing. More detailed information can be found here https://support.docusign.com/s/articles/Data-Protection-Addendum-for-DocuSign-Signature?language=en_US.

Processing of personal data

Personal information is collected so that WEPACK can perform the tasks and services we are required to perform in accordance with the law, regulations and/or agreement. Processing of personal data takes place within the framework of the law, and regulations in force.

The personal data may be disclosed to third parties with whom WEPACK cooperates, both within and outside the EEA and EU area, for us to be able to perform the tasks and services we are required to perform in accordance with law, regulations and/or agreement, and in line with this privacy statement.

If there is a statutory obligation to provide information to public authorities, registered personal data will be handed over in accordance with the authorities’ requirements.

Note that the processing of personal data in relation to specific services and products may be regulated in separate agreements which are made available in our Service Agreement. This includes, but is not limited to, domain names and the information recorded in WHOIS.

Access and rectification

You have the right to access the registered information at any time. This is done by contacting WEPACK through one of our contact channels and can be sent as a PDF by e-mail upon enquiry. Data we may have stored includes:

  • Contact information, including name, email, telephone number and your postal address
  • Login and user information, including username, password and unique user ID
  • Personal information, including gender and date of birth
  • Payment or credit card information
  • Pictures/photographs and videos
  • Personal preferences such as your marketing and cookie preferences

Through our primary contact channels, we will respond to your inquiry within 1 hour during normal office hours.

Storage and deletion: Information that is no longer necessary based on the purpose for which it was stored is deleted. WEPACK stores personal data about customers in accordance with the legislation currently in force. When you delete or terminate services, some personal data, primarily your contact details and copies of correspondence, will remain in our register to the extent necessary to protect legal rights or legislative requirements for documentation.

Confidentiality and security

We use a combination of physical, electronic and procedural security to protect personal data.

All data transmission that takes place over the Internet is encrypted. Every transaction is processed over an industry-standard SSL/TLS connection, with a minimum of 256-bit encryption. However, there is no guarantee that anyone cannot access such information, or that it will not be disclosed, altered or destroyed through a breach of a firewall or secure server software.

Since no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, we cannot guarantee or vouch for the security of any information you send to us.

Should WEPACK become aware of a breach in one of the security systems, we will notify you in writing by e-mail or SMS, so that you can take the necessary protective measures. By using our services or providing us with personal information, you consent to WEPACK contacting you electronically regarding security and privacy issues and administrative issues related to your use of the service.

WEPACK is also obliged to notify security breaches to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority no later than 72 hours after we become aware of the breach.

You are responsible for implementing appropriate security measures when using our services. It includes, but is not limited to, use of secure passwords, encryption of passwords, secure storage of encryption keys, installation of security updates for 3rd party software and components, etc.

WEPACK is not responsible for information you choose to store using our services, and we cannot guarantee the consequences of security breaches.
